Transform raw data into strategic insights that drive business decisions. Our data science programme gives you the analytical toolkit, statistical foundations and practical experience to thrive in one of the most in-demand fields in modern industry.
Every organisation generates vast quantities of data, yet few have the talent to extract meaningful patterns from it. Data scientists and analysts fill this critical gap — turning numbers into narratives that inform strategy, optimise operations and uncover new revenue opportunities. The demand for these professionals continues to accelerate across every sector, from banking and retail to healthcare and government.
The Data Science & Analytics programme at Sprytani Academy is designed to build your skills progressively, starting with data literacy and statistical thinking, then advancing into machine learning, predictive modelling and storytelling through visualisation. You will work with real datasets throughout the course, ensuring that every technique you learn is immediately applicable in a professional context.
The programme culminates in a capstone project where you tackle a genuine business problem using a live dataset. Past capstone projects have included customer churn prediction for a telecommunications provider, sales forecasting for a regional e-commerce platform, and public health trend analysis using government open data. You will present your findings to a panel of instructors and industry professionals, simulating the experience of delivering insights to senior stakeholders.
In addition to the capstone, you will complete smaller projects throughout the course — including a market basket analysis, an A/B testing exercise and a geospatial visualisation — each designed to reinforce a specific set of skills and techniques.
This course is ideal for professionals who work with data in any capacity and want to deepen their analytical capabilities — whether you come from finance, marketing, operations or engineering. It is equally suited to career changers with no technical background, as we begin with the fundamentals and progress methodically. A basic comfort with spreadsheets is helpful but not required.
Graduates pursue roles such as Data Analyst, Data Scientist, Business Intelligence Analyst, Analytics Engineer and Insights Manager. Organisations across Malaysia and the APAC region are actively hiring data professionals, with starting salaries well above the national average for technology roles. Our placement team works closely with you on CV optimisation, portfolio presentation and interview technique to maximise your chances of landing the right opportunity.
Alumni of this programme now work at multinational banks, technology startups, consulting firms and government agencies — a testament to the breadth of opportunity that strong data skills unlock.
The full programme runs for 6 months on a full-time schedule or 9 months part-time. Classes are offered at our Kuala Lumpur campus during weekdays, evenings and weekends, with a fully supported live online option for remote learners. Each cohort is limited to 20 students, allowing for detailed feedback on assignments, personalised mentorship and collaborative group exercises.
