UX/UI Design

Design digital experiences that people genuinely enjoy using. Our 8-month programme teaches you the full design process—from understanding user needs to delivering polished, interactive prototypes.

Design With Purpose and Empathy

Great digital products are not just visually appealing—they solve real problems for real people. The UX/UI Design programme at Sprytani Academy trains you to think like a designer, combining empathy and creativity with structured methodologies that deliver results. Over eight intensive months, you will learn to create interfaces that are intuitive, accessible, and delightful to use.

The programme begins with UX fundamentals: user research methods, persona creation, journey mapping, and information architecture. You will learn how to conduct interviews, run usability tests, and synthesise findings into actionable design recommendations. These skills form the backbone of every successful design project and set you apart from designers who skip straight to pixels.

From there, you will move into UI design and visual systems. You will master Figma as your primary design tool, learning to create wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, interactive prototypes, and comprehensive design systems. You will study typography, colour theory, layout principles, and responsive design to ensure your interfaces look and work beautifully across all devices.

The final phase of the programme brings everything together through collaborative studio projects. Working in small teams, you will tackle design challenges inspired by real briefs from startups and established companies in Malaysia. You will present your work, give and receive critiques, and refine your process—just as you would in a professional design studio.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to know how to draw or have an art background?
No. UX/UI design is about problem-solving and communication, not fine art. While visual sensibility develops over time, our programme teaches you the principles and tools you need regardless of your artistic background.
What tools will I learn to use?
Figma is our primary design tool, and you will become highly proficient in it. You will also work with FigJam for collaboration, Maze for usability testing, and Notion for documentation. We introduce additional tools like Adobe XD and Sketch for awareness, though Figma remains the industry standard.
Will I have a portfolio by the end of the programme?
Yes. You will complete at least four major projects throughout the programme, each showcasing different aspects of the design process. Our instructors guide you in presenting these projects effectively in a professional portfolio that is ready to share with employers.
Is coding required for UX/UI designers?
While you do not need to be a developer, understanding basic HTML and CSS helps you communicate more effectively with engineering teams. We include a short module on front-end fundamentals so you can speak the same language as the developers you will collaborate with.
